Elohim telah menciptakan berbagai macam hal untuk konsumsi dan kesehatan manusia.
Dan bagaimanapun,
tidak membuat hewan SEMUA cocok untuk digunakan untuk diet manusia.
Karena Bapa surgawi kita menginginkan kita untuk berada di puncak kesehatan, Dia telah memberi tahu kita di dalam halaman-halaman Kitab Suci bahwa barang-barang yang dia ciptakan adalah
BAIK (atau bersih) bagi kita untuk dimakan dan
yang BURUK (atau najis).

Rasul Paulus juga menjunjung hukum-hukum Alkitab tentang apa yang baik dan tidak baik untuk dimakan karena masih berlaku untuk orang percaya (1Timotius 4: 1 - 3).
Dia menunjukkan bahwa sementara beberapa hal dibuat untuk kita mencerna orang lain dengan jelas tidak.
Makanan bersih dalam Kitab Suci adalah yang, dalam keadaan alami mereka,
