HOW THE APOSTLES DIED. (Repost)

1. Matthew. Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.

2. Mark. Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses through the streets until he was dead.

3. Luke. Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.

4. John. Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. Peter. He was crucified upside down on an x shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. James. The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.

This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. James the Son of Zebedee was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry.

As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial.

Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. Bartholomew. Also known as Nathaniel. He Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

9. Andrew. He Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony.

His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words, "I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it". He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

10. Thomas. He Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Subcontinent.

11. Jude. He Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.

12. Matthias. The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot. He was stoned and then beheaded.

13. Paul. He Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor to compare to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith.
And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

"All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth.
Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own.
If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back.
But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them."Hebrews 11:13-16

Pass on to encourage other Christians. Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer, but stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK. But find it easy to read other books?

Why is it so easy to ignore a message about God,
Yet we forward the nasty ones?

Why are Prayers getting smaller, but bars and clubs are expanding.

Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity, but very difficult to engage with God?

Make this message your contribution to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sukkot by John 7

WAS THE WRITING IN THE EARTH CONNECTED TO THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES?

Many of you are familiar with the story of Yeshua (Jesus) and the woman caught in adultery. The Bible tells us that Yeshua said to her accusers, "He that is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." The Bible also tells us that Yeshua stooped to the ground and wrote something with His finger. For centuries people have speculated about what Yeshua wrote. And although we'll never know for sure, what He wrote might be connected to the Feast of Tabernacles.

In John 7 we read that Yeshua was at the Temple for the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. This day, called "Hoshana Rabbah" included a special water pouring ceremony with Messianic overtones. The highlight of the day occurred when the priest poured water taken from the Pool of Siloam into a bowl that drained into the bronze altar. This water served as a prayer to God for the winter rains and prophetically called for the Messiah to come and bring the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It was likely at this point that Yeshua cried out with a declaration that He was the One to provide the living waters that the people were seeking (John 7:37-38). Many in the crowd knew exactly what Yeshua was proclaiming. Some believed and others did not (John 7:40-43).

It was on that very next day that Yeshua had His run in with the scribes and Pharisees who had accused the woman of adultery. Keep in mind that these same religious leaders would have been present at the Temple the day before when Yeshua claimed Messiahship by connecting Himself to the living waters.

So what does all this have to do with what Yeshua wrote on the ground?

Keep in mind that the scribes and Pharisees knew the Scriptures extremely well. Better than most people do today. Also keep in mind that Yeshua continually battled with them and accused them of having departed from the Lord. Now check out this verse that the religious leaders would have been familiar with:

"O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake you shall be ashamed. Those who depart from Me shall be WRITTEN IN THE EARTH, because they have forsaken the LORD, the FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS." (Jer.17:13)

Did Yeshua write their very names in the dust of the earth, possibly along with their sins, in connection with them rejecting Him as the living waters the day before at the Feast of Tabernacles? We may never know for sure. But here is another example of how important it is for Christians to understand the Jewish roots of their faith and how the Old and New Testaments connect. - by Shon Cunningham

Sukkot & 70 bangsa

*FEAST OF TABERNACLES/SUKKOT/HARI RAYA PONDOK DAUN:* adalah _*Cahaya bagi bangsa-bangsa_*

Selama tujuh hari Pesta Kemah Suci, 70 ekor lembu jantan dikorbankan (Bil.29: 12-32):

(Why.21: 3)

Elul

The Month of Elul אלול ... a 40 day period of תשובה Teshuvah [return, repent, and restore ~ make right]!   A time of “self introspection” that will last until the 10th day of the 7th Biblical month called Yom Kippur [Day of Atonement].

This is a time to draw closer to our KING who is in the field!  Do you hear HIS voice?!?  Do you KNOW the sound of the Shofar?!?  ARE YOU READY TO MEET YOUR KING and Bridegroom AT THE APPOINTED TIME?!?

🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎🕎

🕎 Traditionally, the shofar is blown each morning  from the first day of Elul until the day before Yom Teruah. Its sound awakens the soul and kick starts the spiritual accounting that happens throughout the month.

🕎 Journal the thoughts laid in your spirit as you draw close to Abba Father יהוה and reflect on the past year.   It can provide inspiration during this season; along with a life time of treasured memories. Reflect on the deep diversity in your community and the hope that each of us has the gift to offer insight into life’s journey.

🕎 The Hebrew letters that comprise the word Elul אלול – aleph [א], lamed [ל], vav [ו], lamed [ל] – are an acronym for “Ani l’dodi v’dodi li,” a verse from Song of Songs that means “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” Most often interpreted as love poetry between a man and a woman, the phrase also indicates the love between יהוה  Elohim and HIS people, especially at this time of year when HE draws near HIS people.

🕎 Tehillim 27 is a favorite Elul meditation.

⤴️ "One matter I asked of יהוה  – this I seek: To dwell in the House of יהוה All the days of my life, To see the pleasantness of יהוה , And to inquire in His Hĕḵal [Temple].”
{Tehillim 27:4}

⤴️ "I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine. He feeds his flock among the lilies. Son 6:4  O my love, you are as fair as Tirtsah [H8656 תּרצה Tirzah = “favourable”], Lovely as Yerushalayim, Awesome as an army with banners!"
{Song of Solomon 6:4}

⤴️ "Blow a ram’s horn in Tsiyon, and sound an alarm in My set-apart mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the earth tremble, for the day of יהוה  is coming, for it is near”
{Joel 2:1}

Blessed are those who are invited to the Wedding of the Lamb!

Isai dan Mesias

#SHALOM_CHAVERIM

Apakah Benar?
Mari kita periksa Kebenarannya!

Maka pada waktu itu taruk dari pangkal Isai akan berdiri sebagai panji-panji bagi bangsa-bangsa;
(Yes 11:10)

~ choter (Ibrani) - shoot (Inggris) - tunas (LAI)
~ geza (Ibrani) - stem (Inggris) - tunggul (LAI)
~ netzar (Ibrani) - sprout (Inggris) - taruk (LAI)

●Apa sebenarnya maknanya?
